There are several different styles of sink tapware. Each type of tap has its specific recommendations and values in your home.
This is a mixer that is used over a sink (kitchen or laundry). They have a swivel spout to enable more use throughout the sink space.
There are 2 spout options available for this type of mixer:
Standard: this typically has a low and straight outlet
Gooseneck/Square Gooseneck: this spout comes up and over the sink (like a goose’s neck), so you get a taller tap
GOOSENECK SQUARE GOOSENECK
Pullout Sink Mixer
This is a sink mixer that has a handpiece that is connected to a hose and pulls out of the body of the tap. It’s a perfect solution when filling big pots, as the pots can sit on the bench next to the sink; removing the need to lift the pot in and out of the sink to fill it.
The handpiece will often have 2 spray functions, which is great for rinsing the sink, washing vegetables, etc.
Pull Down Sink Mixer
A pull down sink mixer gives you the flexibility of a pull out sink mixer, but without the extended hose. The other end of the hose is connected to the body of the mixer and fixed in place.
This is a three-piece standard tapware set with a spout with separate hot and cold taps. This can be wall or bench/hob mounted.
