We offer quality kitchen products including a range of kitchen sinks catering to all kinds of homes, uses and design considerations. When selecting the right kitchen sink, there are a few things you should be considering to ensure that you choose the perfect piece for your kitchen.
Common Kitchen Sink Considerations:
1. Do you have the room for a double sink?
2. Do you wash large pots? Is your sink deep enough to do so?
3. Do you need draining space?
4. How often are you likely to use your sink for washing up if you have a dishwasher?
Types of Kitchen Sinks
There are three different types of kitchen sink installations to consider and if you’re renovating your space. If you’re planning your kitchen from scratch and have the freedom to choose any installation, you’re spoiled for choice.
1. Inset Sinks
Inset sinks are installed to the top surface of your kitchen counter. These types usually include a drainer and will sit comfortably inset into the kitchen counter top, with a thin lip visible. These are the most common kitchen sink installations.
2. Undermount Sinks
Undermount sinks are installed underneath the kitchen counter and are most common for deep sink types.
3. Flushmount Sinks
Flushmount sinks are installed to sit flush with the kitchen counter top. This creates a sinuous, modern and uninterrupted line from the counter top to the edge of the kitchen sink. These types are easy to keep clean as there are no thin edges for soap scum or germs to accumulate.
